BC Hardwood Flooring Company Ltd. Vancouver

Did you know... most hardwood floor failures are caused by:

  • poor site preparation
  • inadequate subfloor levelling
  • lack of installer experience

This is why our installation process emphasizes a top-quality site preparation, and we use only highly trained installers.

Our hardwood flooring installation professionals are not subcontractors. They are all BC hardwood employees who are fully trained in all types of applications and finishes. The skill and know-how of our installers ensures a quality installation and custom finish that'll last a lifetime. It also guarantees that your floor will be completed on schedule, with the attention to detail you expect.

Our Installers are INSTALL-certified

INSTALL™ is an acronym for the International Standards and Training Alliance. INSTALL represents the floorcovering industry’s most comprehensive training program for residential, commercial, and institutional floorcovering installers throughout the United States and Canada. INSTALL standards are certified by the labor departments of the United States and Canadian governments, and are quickly becoming the industry standard for training professional floorcoverers.

INSTALL floorcovering professionals are trained in a multi-year program that leaves no relevant issue unaddressed.

Case Story

Vintage Tools for Vintage Floors

One of BC Hardwood's specialties is refinishing pre-1960s Vancouver hardwood floors. We match the equipment to the job, for a customized, efficient solution.

We use the original equipment designed to install face-nailed strip flooring properly.

Karled nailing machine

These floors are installed throughout Vancouver, especially Shaughnessy and Kerrisdale. This type of floor was required by building code to be installed as a standard floor covering up until the mid 60's when that code requirement was changed and carpet allowed as a standard instead.
